More than two decades ago, our founder had a single, driving conviction: that RF components could perform better than what the market was offering, and that a small, precise, engineering-obsessed company could prove it.

That conviction built AmpliTech Legacy. And more than 25 years later, it still drives every product that leaves this division.

AmpliTech Legacy is our original RF and microwave design and manufacturing operation—the foundation on which every other AmpliTech division was built, and an active, essential business in its own right. Our Legacy precision amplifiers, waveguide components, and custom RF assemblies are embedded in defense systems, satellite ground stations, space-grade hardware, and quantum computing laboratories around the world. Our customers choose use for exacting specifications and performance that isn’t available elsewhere.

The lowest noise figures in the industry.
AmpliTech Legacy LNAs and LNBs deliver industry-leading noise figures across frequency ranges from 50 kHz to 44 GHz, in standard catalog designs and fully custom configurations. The performance advantage starts at the chip level: Every product benefits from proprietary MMIC technology designed in-house through AGMDC, giving AmpliTech Legacy a design depth that catalog-only manufacturers cannot replicate.

Custom design as a core capability.
Approximately 60-65% of AmpliTech Legacy production is custom-engineered to customer specification. Our engineering team works directly with customers from initial design through final delivery, taking on specifications that larger manufacturers turn away, and finding solutions where others stop looking.

Full frequency range in every environment. From cryogenic systems operating at 4 Kelvin to space-qualified hardware for LEO and MEO satellites to ruggedized assemblies for airborne and shipborne defense platforms — AmpliTech Legacy designs and manufactures for the environments where signal performance is most consequential and most difficult to achieve.
