Zubair Khalid serves as the Director of 5G & Open RAN at AmpliTech Group, where he leads the company’s global strategy, business development, and technology partnerships for next-generation wireless communications. He is responsible for expanding AmpliTech’s Open RAN and Private 5G portfolio, working with mobile network operators, enterprises, government agencies, defense organizations, research institutions, and strategic technology partners worldwide.
 
A Telecommunications Engineer by education, Zubair has built a diverse career across the global telecommunications industry. Prior to joining AmpliTech Group, he gained valuable experience working with industry leaders including Huawei, Ericsson, AT&T, Parallel Wireless, and UNIBERG, contributing to 4G and 5G network deployment, Open RAN initiatives, interoperability, system integration, and next-generation wireless technologies.
 
At AmpliTech, Zubair is driving the commercialization of the company’s carrier-grade Open RAN radio portfolio, including 4T4R, 8T8R, 32T32R, and 64T64R Massive MIMO solutions, while helping expand AmpliTech’s end-to-end Private 5G ecosystem. He collaborates with Tier-1 mobile network operators, semiconductor companies, system integrators, hyperscalers, universities, and government organizations to accelerate innovation in Open RAN, AI-powered radio networks, and future wireless infrastructure.
 
His expertise spans 4G/5G Radio Access Networks (RAN), Open RAN, Private 5G, Massive MIMO, RF systems, AI-RAN, wireless network architecture, interoperability, and next-generation semiconductor technologies. Passionate about bridging engineering innovation with commercial success, Zubair is focused on transforming advanced wireless technologies into scalable, carrier-grade solutions for mobile operators, enterprises, public safety, and defense markets.
